Heya, I needed a fuse so I borrowed one from the engine bay of my 2017 auto touran Thing is, I've forgotten where I nicked it from, im 95% sure I know but I was just wondering if anybody has a similar fuse layout to give me some peice of mind. For me, it was the only 7.5a fuse I had, and I'm fairly sure it was in F21 Cheers, Pete

Can anyone please tell me how to remove the tailgate trim from a VW Touran 2006. Starting with the lower section Ive taken out the screws in the recess handles and a lot of the clips will come away but there still seems to be something holding it in place?

Hi, thanks in advance any advice will be much appreciated. I have a 2014 touran 1.6 manual with stop start with the gearbox code being MFR. Unfortunately the box decided to pack up suddenly, without warning. Now I'm struggling to get hold of a second hand gearbox with the MFR code. Having researched online, I can see that a gearbox with the MAW is very similar and more readily available.T Looking at the VW manual, both gearboxes have identical gear ratios. I can't find any difference, so why make them with different codes. The big question is, is this possible? has anybody fitted a gearbox with a different code to the original?

Can anybody please tell me what the purpose is of the silver metal protruding bar (ignore magnet which just secures the cover) covered by a small plastic cover on either side of the rear door of the Touran (2014).

Hi all, I have a Touran Trendline S 1.6 TDI 90 BHP 5, Diesel, 2012. Everyday when I start driving and the car is cold I get an exclamation mark on the cruise control and the car enters "emergence mode". I have to switch off and on the car in order to the error goes away. When the car gets warm it doesn't happen at all. Has anyone ever had something similar? Thanks, Rodolfo

Hi, does anyone have any experience of a 2007 Touran quietly cutting out while driving? It's just been serviced and has plenty of diesel in the tank, but it just cuts out and drifts to a standstill. Once stationery, it will start again without a problem, but the fault reoccurs when driving again. The AA thought it might be a faulty cam shaft sensor, but the garage said the code for that isn't coming up as a fault. It's been a brilliant car for years and this is pretty much the first time I've had problems with it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I'm charged more enormous labour costs at the garage.

Put a new MAF sensor in and checked for codes......nothing checked live info and TP comes up as ZERO I am right in thinking TP is throttle position so how the heck is my Touran following the throttle?? OK GUYS BRAINS TO THE RESCUE PLEASE! Edit PS just phoned bro in law and he suggested pulling the plug and looking for a fault code, good idea, I'll do that AFTER I come back off holiday!

After pulling fuses one by one to see if any was broke i have now lost central locking by the key. How can i resync it? I only have the one key also. Its a 2005 touran

Hi all, I purchased my 2014 Touran (2.0 TDI BlueMotion Tech Sport) back in 2018 to replace an ageing BMW 320D M Sport touring. The main Idea of the Touran was that I could load my mountain bikes into the back of the car which would mean they were more secure if I needed to leave the vehicle unatended. This works great as I can easily fit two bikes in with the front wheels removes. The issue I'm having is with the actual journey. I Travel around 250 miles from the Midlands to Wales for better mountain bike trails but on the journey back I'm in so much pain with my right knee that it's almost impossible to drive. I bought a used Touran (automatic 12 plate sag 7 speed) and really need help. The TCM was changed last week (apparently) by the dealer but the issue existed before that, although now it’s worse. When accelerating it revs a lot before it’ll change up gear and when it revs high and I let go of the pedal it sticks. It really feels like it revs very high before changing gear. When I put foot down to accelerate there’s a delay and there’s a delay between letting go of the pedal and the revs going down. On any kind of steep incline it’s revving a lot - 4000 revs- before changing gear - on other inclines the lowest it’s changing is 3000 but normally around 35…

My turbo blew two days ago and the engine seized. I found a replacement engine. My engine is a BXE. The numbers after the BXE are different to the numbers on my engine number sticker. The engine is out of a 57 plate touran and my car is a 08. Will the other engine fit my car as they are both 105bhp engines. Asking as do not know what the other numbers are after the BXE. Chris

Hi I've just found a hose spraying fluid over the engine bay and I'm trying to ide tidy the hose or a part number,it's the one I'm pointing to,if I can't find a replacement hose am I OK to fix it with silicon tape as a temporary measure,got a busy few days on I need the car for,thanks

I have just bought a Vw Touran 2008 . Do all the seats fold completelt flat on this model ? Or do just the last row ,and the the second row just fold flatter but not completly flat ?. Does the front passenger seat fold flat or forward ? I would appreciate any help regarding this thanks Peter

Was only about 34mpg but having dosed the tank with injector cleaner, pumped up the tyre pressure a couple of PSI higher and with use of the cruise control which doesnt follow Engine note or the car in front when I brimmed the tank I had put in 33L for 367 miles and that worked out at 50mpg Miles divided by Litres multiple by 4.52 give you MPG

My key fob is dead, replaced battery, still doesn't work. Does anyone know whether it is possible to use this key and drive the car without the alarm going off? The manual doesn't seem to cover the eventuality of a completely dead key fob.

No car play, no satellite navigation... etc. I hope to add a parking camera for my wife. May I have some recommendation on it? I've just picked up a VW Touran 2004. Test drive was absolutely fine and on initial inspection everything looked good. However, after driving it for about 2hrs the engine sounded pretty loud. I popped the bonnet and there's excessive movement in the engine. When the engine is cool it's not so bad. I'm going to service it. But any ideas on what this could potentially be? I did pop in to a garage that I was passing by who suggested it could be the engine mounts but without a proper look they can't be sure. It's had a brand new mot - no advisories. Had a lot of work done to pass the mot and no mention of any issues with the engine mounts or anything else...

Hi, my heater blower, washer motor and 12v socket all failed at same time, checked all fuses and relays, put into local garage to check it out. £180 later told me it wasn't the fuses or relays 😡🤬 They suspect bcm, but how far did I want them to go with it. I told them to forget about it. I am capable of changing it myself and would be able to get coded if need be. Just need the location of it, can't find info on location anywhere, can find ccm location but not sure if that is same thing. Hi All, I have a 2.0 BKD Touran and have had an engine fitted (Head Gasket) since this the oil cooler keeps rubbing against the intercooler pipe, we have checked for clearance etc about 7mm, has anyone had any experience of this? Any advice would be appreciated Pete
