Can anyone tell me if my 2004 touran 1.9 dti n/s/f suspension strut is the same as a 2.0 dti? And does other voltswagons ect fit ? Thankyou

Put a new MAF sensor in and checked for codes......nothing checked live info and TP comes up as ZERO I am right in thinking TP is throttle position so how the heck is my Touran following the throttle?? OK GUYS BRAINS TO THE RESCUE PLEASE! Edit PS just phoned bro in law and he suggested pulling the plug and looking for a fault code, good idea, I'll do that AFTER I come back off holiday!

Hi, Can someone please tell me what this noise is coming from the engine bay. The noise can be heard when i start the car but can't be heard after i have driven the car. The cambelt and waterpump were changed 4000 miles ago The car is a Touran 2.0 2017 model. 20220502_123100.mp4

Hi All, I have a 2.0 BKD Touran and have had an engine fitted (Head Gasket) since this the oil cooler keeps rubbing against the intercooler pipe, we have checked for clearance etc about 7mm, has anyone had any experience of this? Any advice would be appreciated Pete

I am retired in Spain. I have just purchased a 2014 Touran 2.0 TDI. it has come to me with no books at all. I have asked the dealer (main dealer in Malaga) for the Service book but a handbook from him is of little use as my Spanish will not be up to it. Any ideas where I can get an English language handbook ? VW customer service (UK) are ignorant and don't even answer my e-mails.

Are all parcel shelfs compatible with different touran?

Just purchased a 2019 touran. Head doesn’t give me the option for apps and no built in SatNav, I presume these come with the newer versions. Just enquiring what phone holders folks have gone for in the Touran?. Cheers!

I am hoping someone out there has the answer to my issue...... I have a very basic but immaculate Touran to which I want to add below bumper fog lights. Fitting seems straight forward BUT as a basic model, the light switch loom plug has no facility to add the trigger wire to the assembly so it contacts with the switch itself. Has anyone ever upgraded the plug such that all pins are active and the trigger wire can be inserted into the plug?

Hi I have recently bought a 2017 touran 1.5 petrol dsg. It came from a VW dealer and is under extended warranty. It has recently come up with the service required light on the dash. VW UK say it should have been serviced but dealer are saying its on a 24 month interval. Last time it was serviced it wasn't serviced by vw and when I rang the garage who serviced it they said its due now. Dealer are adamant that its 24 months and refusing to service it, instead they are saying they will turn off the service light... Hi guys. As i do not know much about turbo diesels i thought id ask. I had my 2008 1.9tdi stage one tuned. Since the tune i notice a whistling sound when i accelerate through the gears. I read online this could be the turbo spooling up more pressure due to the tune. Or could it be the accuator itself. Is this whistling normal after a stage 1 tune? Its running 160bhp and 325lb of torque off this tune. I could not hear this prior to the tune 3mths ago but have since. It could be a biproduct of the tune but thought id ask as know very little about turbo cars in general. Thanks. Chris.

Hi I'm having problems with my sway bar on my touran. It not the link bars or the Bush it the actual bar how do i remove it. Do I have to remove the steering rack or drop the front cross member.please can someone help many thanks

i have bought Touran 2007 20tdi great motor low mileage (not ex Taxi) it has started to vibrate and make a grinding noise on full lock or slightly less at 10mph over that it does not do it any help would be greatly appreciated ROGER

Hi, my heater blower, washer motor and 12v socket all failed at same time, checked all fuses and relays, put into local garage to check it out. £180 later told me it wasn't the fuses or relays 😡🤬 They suspect bcm, but how far did I want them to go with it. I told them to forget about it. I am capable of changing it myself and would be able to get coded if need be. Just need the location of it, can't find info on location anywhere, can find ccm location but not sure if that is same thing. Hi i am trying to find a plastic spacer which fixes to the bottom of the boot so when it is closed it makes a gap between the boot and the rear bumper i cant find the part anywhere. I have one missing and the bottom edge of the boot is going rusty because the rain water is tracking and not dripping of the bottom of the boot when closed, any advice on the part would be welcome

I bought a used Touran (automatic 12 plate sag 7 speed) and really need help. The TCM was changed last week (apparently) by the dealer but the issue existed before that, although now it’s worse. When accelerating it revs a lot before it’ll change up gear and when it revs high and I let go of the pedal it sticks. It really feels like it revs very high before changing gear. When I put foot down to accelerate there’s a delay and there’s a delay between letting go of the pedal and the revs going down. On any kind of steep incline it’s revving a lot - 4000 revs- before changing gear - on other inclines the lowest it’s changing is 3000 but normally around 35…

Hi all, looking for a little advice, my Son has bought a 2010 1.6 Touran (Diesel) had it for around 3 months, the Car has developed a few issues recently, ie: Lack of power, his wife broke down travelling to relatives down south last week and had to call the AA, when he arrived he plugged in to the diagnostic socket it showed an EGR Fault which he cleared and said a sensor was at fault(cheap fix he said)and sent Her on Her way, however on the return journey the fault occurred again, She managed to limp home and took the Car to a local garage, they did not have a clue and said it could be a valve or electrics. Was only about 34mpg but having dosed the tank with injector cleaner, pumped up the tyre pressure a couple of PSI higher and with use of the cruise control which doesnt follow Engine note or the car in front when I brimmed the tank I had put in 33L for 367 miles and that worked out at 50mpg Miles divided by Litres multiple by 4.52 give you MPG
