I have just brought a VW Sharan, 2014 Diesel Automatic. The problem I have is that the vents on the driver side blows hot all the time. Even when I set the temp to 'Lo' and put the A/C on. The passenger side works perfectley. Any suggestions ? Thank you.

I have a bottle in the boot of my sharan, in one the little side panels got no idea what it’s for. Can someone please help me and tell me what I put in it

Hi. I've owned a number of mk1 Sharans, which I loved but I've just bought a 2009 Alhambra Ecomotive because my last Sharan finally died. However I've got a problem which is fairly similar to something that happened on my Sharan Sport some years ago. The car has the engine management light on and when started says "Emissions Workshop". I drive it and after a while the flashing glow plug light comes on and it enters limp home mode. There is a slight smell of exhaust gases in the car when the heater is on and at night I can see some smoke (presume exhaust) coming from the front grill. I'm debating whether to get a petrol Sharan. I had a diesel Sharan that I bought just as the emissions scandal came out. I swore I'd never buy another VW diesel but we loved the Sharan. Is the Petrol Sharan a reasonable option?

I have a relay No 185,I am trying to locate were the relays are, so I can change it, as RAC said that it is my immobiliser relay is causing not start problem, I have a vw sharan 2.0, 1998 right hand drive, can any one help please

New here so apologies if I get some protocol wrong. I've looked at many videos etc onremoving the double din unit. I have used the removal keys and the unit comes part way out then stops. it doesn't slide out easily as in the videos. Mine seems to have something else at the back to undo. Any suggestions welcome. Hi, all I've recently bought a 2010 Sharan 1.4 tsi. It's a Japanese import & in, apparently, great condition. I love it. . Previously I've owned an Alhambra & a Galaxy. The VW seems better than both though a more recent model. I want to replace the head unit/ infotainment system as the original unit has been removed by the dealer, I'm guessin, & replaced with a cheapie android 9" unit. This is ok but not as easy to use as previous systems I've owned. Also the sound similarly isn't as good. Question being; do I try to buy a VW system similar to the factory fitted one, (RNS 510 or better), or something like a pioneer head unit? I like to play CD's oc…

Before i spend hundreds at a main VW dealer does anyone know how to get the RNS 510 working back to normal had my one year old Grandaughter on my lap pressing all the buttons on radio and steering wheel didnt take much notice but its lost all stations and everything is in German ive tried to change language back to English it comes up in German the your chosen language is being loaded but nothing happens in desperation i pressed factory reset but its still all the same in German cd goes in and wont play sat nav comes up but all in German ani ideas please thanks in advance

Hi all, I have SHARAN highline Jap import, that developed a recent battery drain. Had it a few years but this fault recently manifested. It has an aftermarket ESSGOO android double din head unit, which came with vehicle. I have double checked it is correctly installed. All functions work Inc mfsw steering wheel, Park assist, doors opening reverse camera. A can bus adapter is fitted which I'm assuming is working correctly because it allows headunit to communicate with car and perform afore mentioned functions. Hi there ladies and gents, I'm trying to run a microphone through the aux connection on my sharan.. it works but there is a horrible delay on the system as I think its getting processed through the onboard computer. is there any way to have another way to fit the aux... maybe direct link to a channel of some kind on the ba k of the head unit? I want to run my tablet and aux at the same time. I know I can't use Bluetooth and aux at the same time but I do have a mixed and had planned to run both through the aux. I got my Sharan June 2023 and really like it, apart from the dipped headlights. I have fitted +200 lights from Halford, they give a bright light but are no better on the distance they light. I can't fit LEDs. Any suggestions please?

I have a 2016 VOLKSWAGEN SHARAN MK2 (7N) SE TDI BLUEMOTION TECHNOLOGY DSG It seem to be stuck in less than 2000rpm. On the motor way it doesn't go beyond 30miles even with more stepping on the gas pedal. Revs are high at but speed stays the same or slower on a hill. What could be the problem? No engine lights no codes showing yet

Can anyone help me please. I have a bag of spanners otherwise known as a 2013 VW Sharan 1.9 TDI Bluemotion I've had a horrible vibration through the steering wheel and up through the seats for ages . It started out of nowhere and now won't go away. I've replaced all 4 tyres and had them balanced and tracked. I've had the alignment done. I've had new lower suspension arms (wishbones), I've had new drive shafts (O/s & N/s), I've had new discs front and new pads all round. The steering wheel wobbles and vibrates like it's got parkinsons disease. It has moments where it's OK but get to between 60mph and 75mph, and it takes on a life of its own. I…

Evening all I've recently brought a 2005 Sharan and just wanted to know if there are any of suspension upgrades that can be done to them other than lowering springs? Are there any companies that make uprated bushes or anything? Also I'm looking to fit a set of 17inch 2005 Passat wheels to it with and ET of 37. The wheels on my car are ET59 I think. Has anyone done this to there car and is there anything I need to look out for? Cheers

I was driving last night on a 20mph zone and all of a sudden without warning, the engine of my vw sharan 2016 model shut down. I tried starting it several times, but without success, no noise whatsoever, no cranking, dead silent. After several attempts to start the engine without success, I had to take the car home on a breakdown recovery truck. In addition, the car has a problem of dpf filter showing amber light in the dashboard and the battery is a new one, just two weeks old. What might be the cause?

But little worried about fuel consumption, I can see from the trip computer that the fuel consumption is 11.4 l/100km inside the city usually,is that a regular consumption according to your experience , which thing I need to check if its high consumption.

I have brought 2nd hand a VW Sharan 2020 plate. I've got Android Auto on my phone but it won't connect to the car even with the lead. My phone connects okay to car via Bluetooth and I can make and receive calls and normal texts but what's app not working.....am i doing something wrong or is this where o need to pay for the Data Plug?
