Hi. I’m Charlie. I live out in the sticks on the Herefordshire / Worcestershire borders... Bought my first ever VW back in December. It’s the smallest GTI the Up. I bought the wee car to exploit the cracking B roads out where we live. Roads round here are tight naggery bends and tight corners with very few straight bits. I was due to take delivery of a Polo but that car ended up to be a proper leper. Couldn’t find another Polo I liked and ended up with this fun little GTI. Only modifications so far is the remap that has taken it from the 115 BHP they come with to 145. Not a massive gain but wow does it make this wee car go well 👍👍👍👍 Cheers

Hello all, Shortly taking delivery of a low mileage 2013 Golf GTD as my new daily driver. Not my first VW, have had Polo Coupe S x2, Golf Driver Mk2, Scirocco Mk1 and Mk2 and a Passat TDi 130 Sport Wagon (probably the best of the bunch). Also many other, other makes in between. Other vehicles in the fleet are the Mrs' Fiat 500S ant my LR Discovery TD5. Looking forward to some GTD related banter. Dave

Just got rid of my MK4 GTI German Import (Special little details on it, lights etc ) Now running a Caddy, bought standard with 12k on the clock, used for mountainbiking, camping ( all converted in the rear, tv's etc) and allround tomfoolery. Some mods include, VW Golf Front Coilovers Rear Axle Flip Axle re-located Rear insulated and carpeted (Bed and storage too) TV/electronics install Some re-trimming in the cab Wheels - wrapped in proper tyres (falkens) Tidying up the engine ready for a re-map with pipework and cone filter Brake upgrade to drilled and vented Zinc Plated EBC. Hey, I'm not currently a VW owner technically but hopefully will be soon. Looking to buy a new Polo or Golf very soon but undecided on which to go for! I have heard good things about the new Polo and love the new Golf look that it has, but if I want a Polo because it looks like a Golf, why not just spend the extra and get a golf!? Anyway, any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated, anything I should be aware of? Any engines/models to avoid? Anybody got any suggestions on trustworthy sites online where i might be able to get a good deal? I would like to buy brand new and will be visiting our local dealer this weekend :) Thank you!
