Hello there, my dad has a 65 plate golf sv which has a rattle from inside the airbag on the steering wheel. I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue. Vw has priced us £1100 to renew it. My dad has heard that there has been issues with the same problem with this model and year.

Hi all I have a VW Golf TSI Plus Reg 2009. The engine (I am told) needs to be replaced after a compression test. The question is do I pay to have a replacement engine in the car or scrap it. The body work and interior is good and I bought it for £5,000 in May 22.

Hi, So, I'm new here but not to forums in general (so no need to be too gentle 😉). I've got a 2013 Passat Alltrack DSG 2.0tdi 177 (B7). It's a good car but could be better! What I'm looking for is a practical and reasonably affordable way to lift it by about 1-1.5 inches (I know, shock horror, someone that doesn't want to lower a car!). I then want to be able to space the wheels by about 15-20mm each side to widen the track and then add all terrain tyres - over all similar outcome to the later (B8 variant) Atlas models available in the US (not seen any this side of the pond). Hi all, Rob here, newbie. I'm new to VW and thought I'd look for a club/site where I can get answers to any questions and maybe contribute to others queries. I just bought my son a 2004 Polo 1.4tdi Mk4 (9n) and am still learning my way around the car. Needs a bit of attention but as a long time Land Rover driver, I'm reasonable handy with a a spanner....And a grinder, big hammer, gas axe and tea drinking! Hello to all Volkswagen fans and petrol heads just purchased another scirocco mk2 previously I had a mk1 35 yrs ago and couldn’t get rid of the need to have a replacement so now it’s arrived it’s great to be driving a true drivers car and a joy to work on the car has a interesting history VAG OWNED dry storage for 14 years until give to dealerships grandson who didn’t really want it and ended up on the open market with 2 owners and then myself in wonderful original condition anyway looking forward to catching up with all fellow owners and getting some useful information and hopefully I can be an addition to information given. Only second VW I have had with first being an old VW golf about 25 years ago. Bought a R Line Black 2016 2 ltr Passat which looks nice and drives nice. First DSG gearbox which is different to my previous Jaguar XF auto and probably will be my last saloon before going onto Jeep like cars to help get in and out of safely without clattering my dome and twisting the old knee caps too much getting in and out. Hello to everyone in this group thank you for accepting my request to join I've recently acquired a 2002 plate Volkswagen Beetle with electrical issues this is something I have no experience of doing but I'm advised to speak to people online to get the best advice on what to do the boot will not open and the immobiliser and alarm kicks in in mind you not put the key ignition straight away is there anything I could do to get this sorted out myself. My old Kia carens has been a non starter for a year, had enough and am scrapping it, Santa Pod in a couple of weeks time and needed a tow car so here I am with a 2007 1.9TDi Touran, Towbar fitted (by me) double electrics wired (by me). Also have a Ventura Roof tent fitted for short weekends. After 40mph I get a drone from the front, jacked up all four corners spun wheels not bearings! Anyone here had problems with main pulley, Engine mounts or found a similar drone they have silenced? No steering twitch noticed or vibration under braking but front brakes need sorting they dont bite hard Tony
