Hi, I am a newbie on here, please be gentle. Would someone on here please provide some advise on a Japanese made Bosch fuel injection pump ( diesel ) part number 0 470 504 012. I would like to know the resistance value of the spill control solenoid/electromagnet, part number 479763-1220. I have a feeling that the one on this pump may have "burnt out". Would anyone have the Bosch yellow publication giving principle of operation and hopefully tech details please. Thanks in advance. rich.

hi im new here was hoping to gain some useful information from other members. i have a 1.9tdi se passat on a 56 plate i have started to have a bit of trouble with it i have no warning lights on the dash yet for some reason my car keeps losing power and going into limp/safe mode usually after ive been out for a while and want to overtake or accelerating up a hill or small incline on the motorway. when i switch the engine off and turn it back on it resets itself and runs perfect for a while then all of a sudden it will happen again.

Hello. I've a water leak in boot of my new shape 2011 sharan. I've stripped the boot out but can't trace the source. Water builds up in the box section where the boot lock latches onto and eventually, over time, the water spills out of 4 or so holes towards the underside of the box section and pours into the boot. I've checked the rear vents behind the bumper but these sit lower than the box section and as far as I can tell the water still builds up when the car has been left for a while so I dont think any water that may be getting through the vents is cascading up and over into the box section. I've also had new rear number plate lights sealed and fitted. Any suggestio…

Hello guys, I need some help, I have VW Passat 2006 1.9 TDI. 1. I am planning to upgrade current steering wheel for multifuncional (see pics wheel1 and wheel2). Do I need any modules for that? Any guide? 2. Also I am wondering if can replace heat control unit for newer one? Over the past few day my rns 315 will not turn on ,it has the time display in the middle, today I tried again and it worked but now I'm unable to turn it off with the power button ,I'm guessing this is the fault, any ideas please.

this morning my hubby was driving down the m1 when all of a sudden there was a rather loud popping noise come from the car. after the noise occured the car started to chuck loads of thick black smoke from the exhaust. any ideas on what the problem could possibly be? the car is a 53plate vw touran 2l tdi

I have a mk5 tdi 2.0gt 54plate the car has been going into limp mode and losing turbo at about 70mph, when I restart the car the fault has gone doesn’t turn a EML light on, I have changed the fuel filter as was black, changed the G62 sensors, and replaced the MAF sensor, I have taken the boost pressure sensor off and cleaned this, I have had the turbo checked and there isn’t any play in turbo and all moving good, I did have a EGR daily code but once cleared from the ECU this hasn’t returned, any advice would be welcomed

Can you advise on a compatible rear mounted cycle carrier that will fit my VW UP 2012. My car is leased so I don't want to purchase the roof mounted carrier (as advised by my local dealer) as it's too expensive. I have also spoken to a local towbar company last year and they advise the load weight of the car restricts the installation of a towbar. I thought a manufacturer may have made a suitable rear mounted cycle carrier now that the UP has been out on the market for a year. Much appreciate any feedback.

Hi all a newbie here looking for some help,after reclining my passenger seat of my MK4 25th Anniversary i have an airbag light on with code N200 (01218) resistance too high.I have done away with the yellow connector under the seat and added extra wire which has been soldered and heat shrunk but airbag light still on,Anybody any ideas what to try next,Thanks in advance

Hi, I bought my daughter a 2007 VW FOX about a year ago. She has recently had a baby and was looking to see how to disable the passenger dash air bag so she can put the baby seat in the front seat facing the rear. There doesn't seem to be a disable switch anywhere and the owner manual says only a VW dealer can do this. Called local dealer and they say the Fox is the only one they can't do !! Apart from removing the air bag fuse !!! which i guess will disable all air bags , anyone here got a solution ? Thanks. Mike.

VW Beetle 2004 2ltr petrol Had a sensor problem sensor identified using diagnostic unit Lambda sensor on catalytic convertor changed fault cleared and car ok for two days fault reappeared giving code for crank shaft car would not start.Sensor changed as well as timing belt fault cleared car ok for two days same fault appeared ECU removed and found to be wet sent for testing came back as ok put back into car fault cleared car again good for two days same fault back and car will not start anyone got a clue

I purchased a VW Sharan 1.4TSI 2011 via a private sale in July this year. I needed a 7-seater with the imminent arrival of twins (we already have 3 kids!) and after a lot of research decided that the Sharan fitted the bill. Hi, I have a VW Caddy transformed to carry a disable person at the rear, I understand the car was lowered to be able to be transformed, but as now is a bit low, every time I pass over a "street hump" the chassis is touching the tarmac, I heard that I could fit "Suspension Air Kit" so I come to you guys to if this would be a solution to increase the gap between the chassis and the road surface and if so which ones should I get? Two issues I need help with. Firstly the mileage display shows ongoing fuel consumption (30.5 mpg which is 50% better in my new Touareg than in the old one) since I had the car, shows consumption on a momentary basis etc.. I want to be able to see the consumption on a specific journey - for example if i decide to drive to Brussels how can I get it to tell me the mpg achieved on that journey? Secondly how can I get it to boot up faster? Because the heated windscreen and heated steering wheel only turn on through the environmental controls on the computer, I have to sit in a damn cold car waiting the two or three minutes for the computer to boot up before I can start to d…

Does anybody know what a loud knocking sound could be on a VW Golf 53 plate when turning?? It is a real loud knocking/rattling sound like your dragging metal. It is not continuous,it comes and goes but starts only after turning.

Hi can anyone help, my 2005 1.6 fsi golf had a metallic rattle when revving the throttle. i was told it was the timing chain but since replacing with a complete kit inc tensioner,the noise remains have i missed something. Thank you

I have a 2009 VW polo with a battery that runs flat if I haven’t turned the engine over for about 4 days. It’s been doing this for about 3 years years now. In the past I didn’t drive it much and mostly short journeys but since the problem started I’ve been driving it at least twice a week for about 45 mins each time. I have RAC cover so each time it’s flat they run checks on the battery and almost every time the result is replacement battery needed. My cover provides replacement batteries so there’s no additional cost but it does mean I’m getting about 3 new batteries a year. I’ve had the car checked multiple times for a drain, none can be found and the alternator is fine…

Hi folk, I'm hoping someone hre can help me solve this problem... I need to change the OSF/Drivers side wishbone/suspension subframe/bracket. The problem I'm having is with the bolt to the steering rack! It has no nut on it just like a thing washer on the top with a small amount of thread sticking out. When I try to remove this bot it just turns including the thick washer on the top it all turns but dose not come out!!!! I'm at my wits end with it was in the pit all day yesterday trying to get it out cant get a grip on the washer type fixing on the top with anything. Am I doing something wrong? Hi all, Just bought myself a 2009 Touareg V6 Altitude model that has the RNS510 and "Premium Telephone Preperation". Went to pair my phone with it. It sees and identifies my Huawei P10 phone (although the VW bluetooth doesn't appear on my phone when it searches). I click on it to connect and after a while it comes back and says "phone not compatible". I tried the same thing with a friends iphone 6 and I get the same problem. Now, I don't want to go back to an old phone just to have handsfree in the car, so I wondered if I can just change the bluetooth module or upgrade the firmware on the module. Hi all, I've purchased a passat b6 bkp dsg with no reverse gear. When I first got the car it worked after being parked up for a couple of months. I've scanned it with Carly I will attach the errors. As since the car has lost reverse again and has a error stored in the gearbox and something to do with solenoid 3. I wanted to know if there is anything that can cause this I.e low oil or a service may cure. Or would you recommend removing the unit and repair?
