Hi all a newbie here looking for some help,after reclining my passenger seat of my MK4 25th Anniversary i have an airbag light on with code N200 (01218) resistance too high.I have done away with the yellow connector under the seat and added extra wire which has been soldered and heat shrunk but airbag light still on,Anybody any ideas what to try next,Thanks in advance

Anyone managed to install a dual Climatronic heater loom with dash in situ ? Some prat cut the far left plug loom that fits into back of my Climatronic unit (there are three separate plugs in all) during a dash swap and reinstall. I also checked either side of the dash for the left & right temperature sensors and there were no plug loom attached to the sensors and I could not find loom, I had hoped it had fallen back. As a result there’s no control over recirculating flap, no control over left & right temperature flap motors, can’t change direction of air flow to different vents or floor & no AC. Anyone know if its possible to use Vagcom to deactivate the annoying rain sensor for the wipers & make it work as normal?

2003 Jetta 1.9L TDI w/hydraulic clutch and 5 speed manual transmission. Problem occured suddenly not gradually so must be failure rather than wear. When engine is running and clutch depressed, cannot shift into or out of any gear. With engine off, can shift thru all gears smoothly. With engine off, shift into any gear, then start engine and let clutch out, clutch engagement is smooth, everything is normal until next shift point. Can't shift unless engine is shut off, then shift is smooth, engine restarted and everything normal until next shift point. Same thing happens thru all gears. Clutch engages normally with no chatter. I have a mk5 tdi 2.0gt 54plate the car has been going into limp mode and losing turbo at about 70mph, when I restart the car the fault has gone doesn’t turn a EML light on, I have changed the fuel filter as was black, changed the G62 sensors, and replaced the MAF sensor, I have taken the boost pressure sensor off and cleaned this, I have had the turbo checked and there isn’t any play in turbo and all moving good, I did have a EGR daily code but once cleared from the ECU this hasn’t returned, any advice would be welcomed

Does anybody know what a loud knocking sound could be on a VW Golf 53 plate when turning?? It is a real loud knocking/rattling sound like your dragging metal. It is not continuous,it comes and goes but starts only after turning.

Hi this is my first entry on this VW site, my wife as a Lupo SDI which is a great car But recently its started draining the battery, an auto electrician looked at it and removed the aftermarket alarm and central locking. three days later it was flat again, I charged the battery and disconnected the negative lead from the battery, today I put an Amp meter between the negative lead and the negative connector and it showed 6.2 amp drain for a few second then went to zero. Help as any one got any Ideas PLEASE.....

My gear changes are hard and it still thinks its in gear when I put it in neutral Any help much appreciated

Does anyone have trouble with the mk7.5 golf on a morning when cold windscreen keeps fogging up on the inside then runs down the inside so u end up with water marks on the inside any ideas whats wrong

Hello guys, I need some help, I have VW Passat 2006 1.9 TDI. 1. I am planning to upgrade current steering wheel for multifuncional (see pics wheel1 and wheel2). Do I need any modules for that? Any guide? 2. Also I am wondering if can replace heat control unit for newer one? Hi new on here,having problems with my 2011 Passat cc 140 GT TDI, the reverse camera has stuck open has done it a few times,disconnected the battery at first and that seemed to reset it but now that doesn't work and is permantly open the camera still works but can't open boot manually anybody come across this problem and know a fix if any?

hi im new here was hoping to gain some useful information from other members. i have a 1.9tdi se passat on a 56 plate i have started to have a bit of trouble with it i have no warning lights on the dash yet for some reason my car keeps losing power and going into limp/safe mode usually after ive been out for a while and want to overtake or accelerating up a hill or small incline on the motorway. when i switch the engine off and turn it back on it resets itself and runs perfect for a while then all of a sudden it will happen again.

i have a 61 reg passat 2ltr diesel bluemotion its taking 5 attempts to start the car and its annoying as been in vw they thought the battery was fault but i didnt the battery passed all tests took it away took it back the next day same issue then following day they rang said theres petrol in diesel they recommended changing filter, draining the the tank clean it andn line £260 i said no dont drain tank next day pick car up they had drained the tank without permission be great for help cars under warranty

Hi,looking for a bit of help with something that is starting to drive me nuts, the clock in my phaeton just stops on a regular basis, I pull the fuse and replace it and its good again for a day or two then it stops again. Don't want to buy a new clock just in case there is another cause. Any help please?

Hi, I have an 07 3.0V6 TDI Phaeton and have aswitch on left side of steering wheel below dash level which consists of a + and a - with a push button above, it bleeps once when you push either +/- but no apparent effects, any ideas what this is for? hi, Both the key operated central locking and the electric front windows are not working. A local Independent linked their diagnostic machine to the car and it was pointing towards a Central Control Unit or perhaps called a Computer Control Unit, housed within the drivers door. It seems to be an intermittent fault strangely working okay in warmer weather but packing up in wet and colder weather. Does anyone have any experience with this problem please? The car will only lock manually via each door independently and the electric front windows do not work at all. Many thanks, Stephen

I have a 2009 VW polo with a battery that runs flat if I haven’t turned the engine over for about 4 days. It’s been doing this for about 3 years years now. In the past I didn’t drive it much and mostly short journeys but since the problem started I’ve been driving it at least twice a week for about 45 mins each time. I have RAC cover so each time it’s flat they run checks on the battery and almost every time the result is replacement battery needed. My cover provides replacement batteries so there’s no additional cost but it does mean I’m getting about 3 new batteries a year. I’ve had the car checked multiple times for a drain, none can be found and the alternator is fine…

Hi folk, I'm hoping someone hre can help me solve this problem... I need to change the OSF/Drivers side wishbone/suspension subframe/bracket. The problem I'm having is with the bolt to the steering rack! It has no nut on it just like a thing washer on the top with a small amount of thread sticking out. When I try to remove this bot it just turns including the thick washer on the top it all turns but dose not come out!!!! I'm at my wits end with it was in the pit all day yesterday trying to get it out cant get a grip on the washer type fixing on the top with anything. Am I doing something wrong? I've never even seen this set…
