  1. Hi...welcome to the Forum If the car has had the emissions remap carried out then this may be the reason why. Here is a link worth looking at as it shares the same characteristics of the Audi's http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/forum/93-audi-recalls/ Cheers, Trevor
  2. Hi...welcome to the Forum If it was me trying to release it in the future, I would probably release the bulb first and then that gives you more space and flexibility to release the connector from the bulb. Cheers, Trevor
  3. Hi Smithy....welcome to the Forum Not sure I know of any specific rattles coming from the transmission but I think I would definitely throw it back at the dealer for them to rectify any issues. One thing though, I don't know whether a transmission would necessarily create a rattle if going over bumps, would have thought it would be there permanently....more than likely some loose trim under the car, engine bay or similar? Keep us updated on what you find Cheers, Trevor
  4. Hi Derek...welcome to the Forum Fingers crossed that it should be as reliable...no reason that it shouldn't though. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  5. Well at least it tells the right time twice a day Quite it is an internal fault with the clock...is it easy to remove and strip apart to see if there is any water ingress or other debris?
  6. there should be some on eBay and also places like https://satnavstore.com/index.php?route=common/home
  7. It may just need recalibrating through VCDS or even a battery reset may do it. See if there is an option in the VCDS menu
  8. Glad it's all sorted now...time to enjoy it :-)
  9. Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum Oh dear! you have had a drama with the car. Doesn't surprise me with dealerships (of most makes in general) but to miss out safety checks is unforgivable! Given that you have paperwork stating that the checks have been carried out by them, this would, in theory, oblige them to carry out any warranty but I would ensure that you either replace the tyres for the same type and/or find some other evidence (dated photograph) of any other anomalies. let us know how this all goes
  10. It does sound like the battery monitoring and control system giving problems...all of which I'm sure they will check out. Please keep us posted on this one....would like to know the outcome
  11. Hi Alan...welcome to the Forum I would imagine for the mileage you would be doing that the 1.6 BlueMotion would give the best results for performance and economy. Let us know how the decision goes
  12. That's not too bad then, easily fixable
  13. it may do, depends if they class it as wear & tear
  14. You could test the battery with a deep discharge test to see if it is strong enough to maintain the stop/start function. If it is not strong enough then the function may not operate and you will need to replace the battery.
  15. Maybe best to switch off the function if its causing problems....?
  16. Hi...welcome to the Forum It probably doesn't like the cold weather...like the rest of us :-) Good to have you onboard
  17. Hi Victoria...welcome to the Forum That's a lovely 2CV...so rare nowadays, no wonder it sold straight away. Good luck with your new VW Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi...welcome to the Forum the 1.4 TSi is quite a reliable engine if its maintained regularly and not thrashed too much....also very economical Keep us informed of how you get on with the purchase and what you think of it once you've driven it enough. Cheers Trevor
  19. Have a look at this site... http://www.iceboxauto.com/volkswagen

  24. I can't find anything specific to your SatNav and there are many different systems so I would assume that it is like most systems it is a case of going into settings and altering from imperial to metric setting..may even work with voice control?
