Hi I have a 2007 VW golf plus with 120000 miles on the clock. The clutch pedal is on the floor. I can pull it back up and it seems its OK. I can place it in gear and it starts to drive. Then the problem re occurs when I press the pedal it stays down and it won't disengage. Is it a master or slave cylinder problem. Any help or advice would help. Thanks Michael

The VW dealership, at Western Newbridge Edinburgh, has just charged ยฃ1,375 for replacing a burnt out clutch on my elderly mothers car. The dealer claims there was consequential damage to the flywheel requiring new parts. Here's the thing - the car is not doing many miles and after 3 years on the road is still only at 15,500 miles. I've asked around and it's not common that a new flywheel is required in such a young low mileage vehicle. It seems rather than clean up the flywheel, a new part has been fitted as a matter of course. A little disappointed given the extra cost this puts on the bill. Polite, professional service otherwise. But unlikely to use the deal…

I posted a while ago regarding the issues Iโm having getting this car to run again๐คจ advised the problem of the car starting and then a cutting out is an over fuelling issue?? so far Iโve changed the throttle body which is a monopoint injection and not rocking horse shit but close. Iโve swapped the ecu, de-coked all the pipes running from the engine block to the throttle body, replaced, repaired and tested the vacuum pipes which are all good as far as I can tell. Run the engine to test every sensor independently with no change to the problem. Any ideas please ??

Hi Iโm hoping for some advice on a problem with the monopoint throttle body. Engine fires up and then dies instantly. When I restart the same problem. The rubber throttle body mount (gasket) split and the running problem started after replacing the rubber mount. Iโve cleaned the throttle body and replaced the air idle switch. Is it likely the monopoint fuel injector is faulty and is causing the problem or is it possibly something else? (Iโm wonderingif it is possible to test the injector before tracking down a replacement?). Fuel is getting through when turning over the engine with the starter motor. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Hello, I'm a newbie to the forums, and have a door lock issue with my Golf Mk6 4 door 2009 Golf. The right rear door with not lock with the fob. All the other doors lock ok and I can hear the click mechanism working for those doors. I can lock the door manually using the screw override turn on the door (using a flat head screwdriver or similar). Then when unlocking using the fob again, it unlocks all the 4 doors fine. I have tried some WD40 on the latch itself, but this has not helped (didn't expect it to really) There are no reported errors when checking the ECU for error codes. Is there anything else to try and diagnose the problem before going an…

HI ALL, GOLF TDI GT 2007 I'm in need of some advice please. HAS anyone had similar issues as this. Emissions keeps showing. I had two fault codes. One for the Altitude sensor and 24 on the Mass Air Sensor. I've just had the MAS changed and the high pressure fuel pump last week. The car drove fine ish today but it did feel like it was sucking air in to the engine as I accelerated. I'm think it could be the EGR possibility being stuck on backed up. Or could this be a build up of oil into the pipping below the EGR. Any help would be very much appreciated. DICKCO.

Iโve just taken delivery of a 16 plate GTD on 19โ Santiagos. For me the car sits a little too high so a subtle lower is needed. How low should I go and whatโs the best kit to use, I donโt want to slam it, just improve the stance.
