My key fob is dead, replaced battery, still doesn't work. Does anyone know whether it is possible to use this key and drive the car without the alarm going off? The manual doesn't seem to cover the eventuality of a completely dead key fob.

Hi I'm seriously thinking about buying a 2016 r line touran 2.0ltr diesel manual not dsg. Does anyone have any advice on what to look for. I'm currently driving a passat b5.5 and I've had my fun with changing door locking mechs and sorting out wet ccm's under passenger footwell 😡 Thank you all in advance !! 😀😀😀

I have recently purchased a 2017 Touran SE Family. As you will know, there is a digital clock display in front of the driver in the display area. However, there is no clock display for the passengers UNLESS you have the infotainment switched on... Wifey has to turn the infotainment on each time she wants to see the time, or she has to ask me, which gets a bit tedious after a while. I’m sure this is the only car that I have owned which does not have a clock display of some sort visible for the passengers. Even the wife’s 2005 Honda Jazz has a digital clock display on the radio screen when it is turned off ! I have contacted VW Customer Support and they can offer no a…

Can anyone please tell me how to remove the tailgate trim from a VW Touran 2006. Starting with the lower section Ive taken out the screws in the recess handles and a lot of the clips will come away but there still seems to be something holding it in place?

Hi Folks, I've got a 2017 R-Line Touran. Unfortunately, the vent tab has popped out for the front passneger door side vent. Looking online, everyone seems to suggest removing the vent to put the tab back in - I assume to ensure you don't drop parts down into the vent It looks like i need to remove the dash trim surround to get the vent out. For the life of me I can't seem to find a guide on how to do this. I assume its just trim tabs, but I dont want to break anything ! Any ideas / insight hugely appreciated.

Hi all. After a window fail (whilst in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago - rear passenger window dropped and wouldn't release back up....gaffer tape and layer of plastic sheet until we got back!) myself and a neighbour helping me have had a look at a fix. The retainer clip had broken so I sourced the appropriate regulator kit. Managed to get the new plastic clip back on and all seemed ok. Tricky getting the dowel into the window glass and cable in but we eventually managed it. However, once tested we heard a crunching noise and soon realised the cable was being shredded intside the spool. Fortunately the kit included new spool and cables...unfortunately we couldn…

I’m having issues trying to start my elderly mums touran. No error codes are shown on diagnostic, new battery, new cam sensor, steady flow of fuel to filter, turns over but doesn’t fire. Working one minute and not the next. Anyone any ideas plz. COULD IT BE A FAULTY TANDEM PUMP? Would it cause it to not start?

I have one missing and the bottom edge of the boot is going rusty because the rain water is tracking and not dripping of the bottom of the boot when closed, any advice on the part would be welcome

Hi guys, I’m new here, I have a 2019 1.0 tsi manual touran with 46k miles. in first gear and reverse with light acceleration I get a sound, the best way I can describe it is like the Knight Rider Kitt front red light sound (kkhwooowkh). this sound appears when I release the accelerator, it makes the sound even when in neutral but not as loud when in gear. Its also only giving 26mpg, this may be down to heavy body for the 1.0 engine but still is very low, I have had the clutch and flywheel checked, this is fine and bites where It should be. No flywheel sound, air filter box pipes all secure. any ideas please. Thanks

Hi, my heater blower, washer motor and 12v socket all failed at same time, checked all fuses and relays, put into local garage to check it out. £180 later told me it wasn't the fuses or relays 😡🤬 They suspect bcm, but how far did I want them to go with it. I told them to forget about it. I am capable of changing it myself and would be able to get coded if need be. Just need the location of it, can't find info on location anywhere, can find ccm location but not sure if that is same thing. (Behind and to side of glove box) If anyone would be able to advise it would be greatly appreciated. 2009 manual 1.9 diesel Really sorry for long post but pulling my hair out if…

HI all newbie here, not new to the VW brand though, I have a strange issue where the instrument cluster/clocks lost power this morning after the car was left for a week. I removed the clocks and split them apart, noticed some residue across the PCB so cleaned that off with solvent cleaner and allowed to dry. Refitted the clocks together, refitted to the car they came back to life briefly then turned off, so repeated the process and they stayed on for the whole of a 20 mins drive but didn't power back up when I got back in after refuelling. The car drives the same, I've scanned with VCDS and there are no faults at all. ???? Completely at a loss, I've ju…

Hi all, I purchased my 2014 Touran (2.0 TDI BlueMotion Tech Sport) back in 2018 to replace an ageing BMW 320D M Sport touring. The main Idea of the Touran was that I could load my mountain bikes into the back of the car which would mean they were more secure if I needed to leave the vehicle unatended. This works great as I can easily fit two bikes in with the front wheels removes. The issue I'm having is with the actual journey. I Travel around 250 miles from the Midlands to Wales for better mountain bike trails but on the journey back I'm in so much pain with my right knee that it's almost impossible to drive. I have tried various seat positions, used nu…

Heya, I needed a fuse so I borrowed one from the engine bay of my 2017 auto touran Thing is, I've forgotten where I nicked it from, im 95% sure I know but I was just wondering if anybody has a similar fuse layout to give me some peice of mind. For me, it was the only 7.5a fuse I had, and I'm fairly sure it was in F21 Cheers, Pete

first time poster, not very used to this! I have a VW touran 1.6 TDI 2019 and need to replace the rear air vent. I can only seem to find the older (prior 2015) style of air vent and not the 2016 beyond one - any help would be hugely appreciated. I am very new to this so apologies in advance for any mistakes!

I bought a used Touran (automatic 12 plate sag 7 speed) and really need help. The TCM was changed last week (apparently) by the dealer but the issue existed before that, although now it’s worse. When accelerating it revs a lot before it’ll change up gear and when it revs high and I let go of the pedal it sticks. It really feels like it revs very high before changing gear. When I put foot down to accelerate there’s a delay and there’s a delay between letting go of the pedal and the revs going down. On any kind of steep incline it’s revving a lot - 4000 revs- before changing gear - on other inclines the lowest it’s changing is 3000 but normally around 35…
