https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132701450814 Happy to take any offers on this car - just send on through! Selling because it just failed its MOT. However we were very much undecided whether to fix it up or give up on it. Apart from the issues listed below, the car is in a good state. She's never broken down on us once and has been driving brilliantly. The interior is a bit worn, but in line with her age. The failing points from the MOT are below: Nearside Front Brake disc significantly and obviously worn (1.1.14 (a) (i)) Offside Front Brake disc significantly and obviously worn (1.1.14 (a) (i)) Nearside Rear Brake disc significantly and obviously …

Having not had a car for 10yrs (last one was an Audi) I am now on the quest to get myself a 2nd hand Touran... so from you well seasoned guys, what should I be looking out for - in terms of problems or issues) - I have seen a few (2006 -2010) where the owners have already changed or replaced or serviced the turbo, gearbox (DSG), cambelt and water pumps but is there anything else I should be aware of on cars that have covered between 75K-125k in mileage. All feedback appreciated and I look forward to getting to meet various people. I live 60km west of London in the UK, and although my interests are pretty grounded in psychology (as a psychologist) and photography (as a …

Hi Everyone, new to VW. Bought myself a 2006 Passat saloon BKP engine in December with 94000 on the clock. Not much service history with it but has had timing belt W/P and clutch done at 75000. Few issues I have noticed. I have a sunroof and when it rains heavy I get a leak down the A pillar and through the sun visor on the passenger side. Anything I can do apart from the easy silicone the sunroof? I suspect its a drainage problem blocked or dislodged. Also front arches are bubbling a small amount does VW cover this in the 12 year rust warranty. Car is 12 years old in August. If so how do you go about get it sorted? Thanks in anticipation …

Hi, I bought a 58 plate Golf Sportswagen 2 litre diesel yesterday. I'm sure I'll be asking questions, previous car was a 55 plate Volvo V50 diesel, which was a great car, sat outside my house with 234,000 miles on the clock. Golf is " baby" at 159,000 miles.

Hi I just joined, looking for some advice please. I have an old girl 2000 Golf tdi and at the moment she's unable to go out of drives very often (my ill health, not hers). I need to keep her going in case there's a medical emergency and breakdown cover is limited re. repeat call outs for the same problem. So I'm pretty desperate. I've been looking for a compatible solar powered battery maintainer. I've read that the AA one that has good reviews but the ad says it's for diesels from 2004 onwards, an EOBD socket is required. I have no technical nous at all, does anyone know if this would be compatible with the diagnostic socket in the car? Or if not, what would be? My loca…

Hi all, new member here having bought my first ever VW (after 40 years of driving Ford/Vauxhall)...a Passat R Line Estate 2.0, 59 plate in lovely condition and 77k on the clock. I really want to query and get others views on the use of additives to the fuel,( Redex / Millers) but primarily relating to the Diesel Particulate Filter, Millers do an additive specifically to clean/regenerate it. Is it safe to use? Will it cause more problems than solve? Do others use it, if so does it work? Looking to keep it running flawlessly with minimal expense to dealers/garages etc! Have to say really impressed with the vehicle, massively roomy, and quick in a 'relaxed' way …

Hi Everyone,This is my first post on here although I have owned many vw's over the years, I hope someone will be able to give me some advice. My wife drives a 2017 Vw Golf R line with the 7 speed DSG gearbox we have owned it from new(it now has 5k miles on the clock) It has a really anoying rattle that you can only hear with the windows down when going over a slightly bumpy road, you can also hear it if the car is driven past you. I am a subaru mechanic and have checked the car over and all seems ok. I have heard it could be the DSG box rattling, if it is the box should it be that bad at 5k miles? I know you are probably thinking why not take it t…

Afternoon all, I'm a first-time VW Owner and bought a VW Tiguan Mk1 (I think it's a Mk1 - 13 plate) around 2 weeks ago from a VW Dealer here in South Wales under the Das Welt Auto scheme. It's been a bit of a nightmare so far... I bought from VW expecting a better quality of service and decent customer service it's not been great. After giving them an extra day to "prepare the car really nicely" the car I picked it up a little over 10 days ago it transpired the car had been really badly valeted (think algae around the panoramic roof rubbers, dog hair galore behind and to the sides of the back seat, sticky gunk built up in the door pockets and drink holders …

Hi there, I've just joined and looking forward to getting my new (used) High Up! in the next week. Fingers crossed weather not too awful. Previous car was a 2CV which I just sold within first few hours of the advert being placed online. See attached pic, really sad to see it go as owned from new . Now I just have to learn how to drive a normal car again after 30 years . Hope it is easy, test driving car on Saturday. Perhaps everyone could keep of the roads on Saturday afternoon. Ha Ha.
