VW Passat Estate 2015 - hi, Tyre pressure warning light came on my dash....Center console screen is showing no value for the front right tyre. Initially i assumed it would be sensor or it's battery has failed, but after getting 2 front tyres fitted....the guys checked with their TPMS Tool and said all sensors are good. Worth mentioning that the warning light flashes on start up then eventually goes solid. Diagnostic check shows faulty front right sensor (not communicating) Does anyone have any experience with this ? My thoughts are maybe it's a faulty receiver but why just 1 sensor not reporting back ? Any advise would be great.

I have a 2016 Passat SE TD Business 2016 Estate Car. A friend who frequently travels in my car has suffered a concussion incident recently that may have caused a brain injury. She reports that she is badly affected by a side to side rocking motion which she likens to a rocking boat. Also that my car is shaken by almost every bump on an uneven road surface and she feels it badly. I also feel it, but I am not shaken and to me it is just part of the normal process of the suspension absorbing the shocks from the uneven surface. I should say that she had no concern about the uneven riding before the concussion incidents. She has also been a passenger in a 2013 Seat Mii …

Hi all, I am new to this forum so wanted to say Hi. Apologies if this issue has been discussed previously, I couldn't find it when searching. I recently purchased a 2017 diesel Passat Estate which has now showing faults nearly every time I start the car/ going slow in traffic / occassionally on the motorway (scary). The car will not start if these faults come up but If I turn the car off and turn it back on, it often works fine. The faults showing are: Error: Stop / Start Error: Stabilisation Control (ESC) Auto Hold is unavailable Front Assist unavailable Proactive passenger protection unavailable Error: Tyre pressure Loss Indicator Fault: elect…

Hi all. Odd problem with a Passat B7 1.6Tdi Bluemotion 2012. Symptoms: Traveling at a steady ~50 on a clear road. Glowplug indicator started flashing and car went into limp mode. Got to where we were going and restarted a few hours later: Car seemed fine. Booked it in to be looked at. (Independent VW specialist) He did an ODB scan and advised he saw “Low manifold pressure” (from memory) which suggested air leak in the intake system He checked hoses, ducts and pipework and found no problem. Cleared the fault and a test drive didn’t throw it up again. A few days later: Waiting in queue at gas station. Space came clear and I…

2016 Passat 1.6 diesel auto. When I start a journey with aircon on and fan blowing all is ok. After about 50 miles the flow gets weaker, and after 80 miles or so, I have it cranked over to full speed fan, and hardly anything is coming out the vents. Any suggestions?

Tried to take off beam deflectors on arrival back in Portsmouth. They left awful sticky white mess on lamps. My wife gave me a nail varnish remover pad which did the trick but cracked the covers badly within a minute!!! Can I just replace this p[art or do I have to go the whole 2K plus hog? (We are, surprisingly, still talking.)

Hi all hoping someone here maybe able to point me in the right direction. I have a B7 2011 VW Passat Bluemotion TDI. A few weeks back I had an error message come up on the info screen saying TPMS fault, system unavailable along with the permanent yellow TPMS light on the dash. Since then I have also had the coil light on (which i believe is just engine management), stop/start error along with other various lights from time to time (ABS, TCS, Parking brake light - all in yellow) On scanning the car with Delphi OBD scanner software it said that the brake light switch signal is implausible-fault intermittent (think the code was J502) So I have changed the brake light …

The time has unfortunately come where I need to part ways with my Passat🙁 Repairs are needed on 3 pulleys (viscus bearing has seized), new fan belt and a new water pump and fixings (which houses the aforementioned viscus bearing). The quotes for repair mean it is no longer financially viable for me to keep the car. A new alternator was fitted 12 months ago, alloys are in ok condition and a couple of months ago I had the car Terracleaned by Fuel Rectifiers which cleared years of built up dirt from inside the engine. The engine has a little over 140k miles on the clock but has never caused me any problems. Ideally I would love to sell this to a someone …

Hey All, So haven't had to visit here in a while and I now have a problem, which I'm sure is common as heck and ya'll will probably scold me for posting a new thread about it. So It's a p1261 code along with p1264, now the one ending 61 was there when I originally bought the car (scanned it after purchase I know dumb dumb) however it sounds sweet, and runs fine (until recently I'll get to that) the 64 one was there also but I cleared them both at the time and only the 61 returned. However now the 64 has reared it's ugly head. Now I know it is VERY common for the wiring loom to go bad, due to in my opinion a Stupidly place harness. However I figured I'd ask …

Hi, hope someone can help me with this one. I have a 2018 2.0l TDI Passat with a DSG box. The service intervals are set to fixed servicing. The problem is, I am getting no where near a year or the 10k miles. It is currenty asking for a service at around 6 to 7k miles. Can I get this changed to flexible serving and use long life oil? I do roughly about 15k per year with mixed driving. Cheers

We are looking for help for a continuing issue with our VW Passat GTE Hybrid 1.4 2021 reg. Since we have owned it, just 12 months, it has had a recurring issue with the Braking and has been into the dealership a few times to get it checked and every time it has been 'we cant find anything wrong'.I have several very close encounters with pedestrians and being unable to stop at low speed when the vehicle continues to drive/drag forward. Since May the vehicle has had the AA VW Assist out to check this braking problem and they found an intermittent fault with the braking system. The AA also diagnosed an issue with the Differential grinding. So it was taken into the VW dealer…

2002 passat check engine light on and we have to turn over twice before it starts. EVAC and emission. Repair shop said it's going to cost $1000 for the hoses alone. Is this generally the cost of hoses. My goodness.
