  1. Usually a third service will be a small one, much like the first service There may be options such as coolant or brake fluid change which is usually chargeable on top of the service price
  2. Is there an issue with the microphone (or an obstruction to it which could affect the sound quality)?
  3. I'm not sure but wondering if you do actually have an auxiliary heater as the system may be looking for something that isn't actually there? The airbags, not sure again but could substitute a resistance (i used noid lamps - used for testing injector pulsing which has the correct resistance of an airbag). If the code clears then the resistance for the airbag is out and doesn't involve putting a voltage across the airbag which is dangerous (could deploy them)
  4. HI...welcome to the Club Hope you don't experience too many problems in the near future Good to have you onboard!
  5. in a nutshell.....yes thats right a lot of people set it to 20 degrees at all times which is comfortable in summer and winter....any cooler and it can get too cold/hot Also, in winter when the windows are steamed up the switch the system to recycle as this will draw down the moisture from the inside. Don't use recycle air supply in the summer as this can dry out the interior (and passengers) too much and become uncomfortable...switch to fresh air supply
  6. Hi....welcome to the Club That sort of journey is ideal if it is motorway and extra-urban routes. As soon as you put it built up urban roads then thats where the problems start for a diesel engine clogging up. Cambelt and water pump - if in doubt get it changed and then clock the miles until the next change is due
  7. climate control will keep the interior at a constant temperature that you have preset dual climate control means that either side can have a temperature which they can control accordingly (limited to their particular space and not overall in the vehicle)
  8. Try this company https://www.satnavupgrades.co.uk/
  9. Ready mixed coolant is as it is and no need for diluting If you buy 5 litres then there is more than enough to refill once drained
  10. Without seeing which lights are on its hard to tell but generally if they are red then you have big problems, yellow (amber) then only usually advisory Let us know what was diagnosed at the service
  11. Hi Peter H and welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  12. Hi Neil I would be tempted to carry out cylinder compression or balance check to see if there is a mechanical fault present. Equally other mechanical faults such as vacuum leak could cause this fault
  13. You would need to ask your local dealership on your options as they may be able to order a lockset for the car (on the original key or a replacement one)
  14. Maybe try an external aerial Selection from ebay here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2499334.m570.l1313&_nkw=tomtom+aerial&_sacat=131090
  15. Does sound like the door latch mechanism is playing up, best to get it sorted before it doesn't unlock and then you won't be able to get the door open to replace it. I would try a scrapyard or ebay for a replacement (even if it is a used part, it may be better than you have already and good for the interim until you can source a new one
  16. Sounds like a poor connection on the bulb contacts as it was working for a period and then not....would check the connections first and also could be a poor quality bulb?
  17. I wonder if it could be the crankshaft sensor as when these fail it is usually when they get hot Try fitting a new one and see how you get on
  18. Oh dear, nail polish remover is quite viscous stuff on plastic as you have found out I would be tempted to acquire a small amount of carbon fibre style (or just plain black or grey) vinyl from ebay and cut to shape to fit the panel
  19. Not sure how they are connected to the audio system but would be interesting to refit the old unit to see if this cancels the errors?
  20. Glad it worked out for you and aftermarket head units are so much better in many ways than the standard audio set up. Maybe it's popped a fuse when moving the wiring in the dash area?
  21. sometimes they take a bit of effort to pull out but keep the removal keys in place
  22. I know you mentioned that the car has been standing for some time in your previous post. Therefore, I would first look at wiring connections and the condition of cables leading to the transmission and control units
  23. Hi....welcome to the Club Hope you can make a good one out of the two cars. Good to have you onboard!
