Help, 9n polo coilover adjustment
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to AbbasTrd's topic in Volkswagen Polo Club
Hi....welcome to the Forum Usually the ride height is dictated by the coil spring size itself. The coil over adjustment will tighten or loosen the coil spring tension therefore affecting the handling performance and ride comfort but not really affect the ride height considerably but may alter it marginally. Just try adjusting it for the settings you prefer for daily driving and also handy to adjust if you were taking it on a track for example. -
2016 Passat and iPhone issues losing connectivity
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Tonyb3605's topic in Club Discussion
Hi.....welcome to the Forum It sounds like something is powering down as it is not using that device for a period, worth checking power saving settings on your phone and then check vehicle settings after that -
Hi The fact that an ABS light is showing suggests that the system is struggling to calculate a true road speed therefore it has gone to a limp home (default running) setting. You would need to resolve the ABS issue - probably a wheel sensor fault which is cheap and easy to fix

Hi ...... welcome to the Forum I would take it to an independent garage that has a smoke tester which fills the void and will come out of the affected area which is allowing water to enter. Let us know how you get on with it

Worth replacing the fuse as it may be fractured and occassionally make and break the circuit

Hi 125 kg is not a lot of weight to overload the suspension as long as its not in there for a long time and over rough roads then it should be fine. Its probably your imagination that it is lower but worth checking if the car settles after a while and if leaning to one side when empty I would have the springs checked but unlikely that would happen.

Hi Keith.....welcome to the Forum Here are some on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=2008+volkswagen+polo+coolant+temperature+sensor&_sacat=0 Just compare the one you have on the engine to those in the photos but ensure that the colour is the same as there used to be two different types and identified by their individual colour (Negative and Postive temperature cooefficient types)

Hi....welcome to the Forum Servicing a 1.2 Polo should be easy enough if you follow some guidance (YouTube is a semi-reliable source of information) and some tasks are very simple. Basic hand tools (spanners, sockets, etc) and some garage equipment (trolley jack, axle stands, oil drain tray) are always handy to have around and invaluable in working on cars. Other tools such as oil filter wrench, torque wrench, hydrometer to check coolant strength, etc are also handy to have in your toolbox. Most items are available in Halfords at reasonable cost and quite good quality as well. Let us know how you get on with it all

Hi....welcome to the Forum First thoughts are if its lumpy on idle then I would check the glowplugs are all operating okay. After that I would look at any turbo boost hoses for leaks (usually hear them) and if so replace them After that I would check and replace the engine oil if the condition is less than par and also the air filter.

Brake pad/ ABS loom
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Lizardleigh1's topic in Volkswagen Touran Club
Hi....welcome to the Forum I cannot remember from memory whether this is the case but generally the signal generated by the ABS would be completely different to the earth switching from the pad wear sensor. I don't believe they would share the same wires so it would only probably share an outer sheath containing both wires -
Hi....welcome to the forum There's nothing wrong with a convertible beetle, an iconic car restyled and improved over the years, whats not to love about them 🙂 What year is the Beetle? Could be a relay issue but without knowing more about the car its difficult to truly diagnose

Golf gtd Slow release clutch pedal
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Mauro's topic in Volkswagen Golf Club
Hi...welcome to the Forum Sounds a bit odd to be a gearbox fault if the issue is with the clutch. Although it depends on what year the car is? If it is a late car with DSG transmission then it could well be a gearbox fault -
Stuck headlight dust covers on Golf GTD (2015)
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Lukehenry's topic in Volkswagen Golf Club
Okay, can see that now, definitely twist anticlockwise and pull back but may be stiff and bit of force required Let us know how it all goes and what you find to be the lighting fault -

Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Lukehenry's topic in Volkswagen Golf Club
Hi ....welcome to the Forum Thats an odd one as looking at a photo of the rear of the headlight I cannot see any directional markings on it (worth using a camera phone to take photo of rear of one in-situ before to confirm) but I do wonder if it just pulls off without twisting ? Let us know what you find -
VW scirocco 2.0tdi abs fault code
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Stevie Goldthorpe's topic in Technical Help
Hi Stevie....welcome to the Forum Here is some info that I have found for this code: 01130 - ABS Operation 01130 - ABS Operation: Implausible Signal Possible Causes Fuse(s) faulty Modifications/Retrofits incompatible Wiring from/to Brake Electronics Control Module (J104) faulty Electrical Interference from External Sources High Frequency Radiation (e.g. non-insulated Ignition Cable) Brake Electronics Control Module (J104) faulty Possible Solutions Check Fuse(s) Check Vehicle for Modifications/Retrofits Temporarily remove Modifications/Retrofits (including Wiring) Check Wiring from/to Brake Electronics Control Module (J104) Check Brake Electronics Control Module (J104) Special Notes This Fault Code can only be cleared after performing a Test Drive above 20 km/h (13 mph). Also, have found other info which states that sometimes this code appears after heavy braking or rapid acceleration which could cause the wheels to spin or lock up. Either way, apparently it should clear out after a test drive above 13 mph which will give the system chance to evaluate the sensor readings. Also, check connections to the ABS pump assembly -
Rare 1.4 tsi mk5 golf
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to 1.4TSI_Sport's topic in Volkswagen Golf Club
wow! that makes it very rare indeed -
The cap should open if you disable the central locking but if not possible by the key then insert the key into the drivers door lock to manually disable it.
