I would go to another garage and seek their advice as to the problem and any potential issues
-
The springs and wheel bearing are par for the course as these can go hand in hand sometimes. The engine revs sounds more like DPF or EGR blocked and this needs the codes reading to see which it is before proceeding with rectifying it

Clutch failure Golf SE reg'd Nov 2018, Flywheel
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to EuanB's topic in Volkswagen Golf Club
That is not unreasonable by todays standards for replacing the clutch assembly and flywheel especially at a dealership. Would have been cheaper at an independent garage. If the flywheel has had a lot of high temperature going through it from riding the clutch then it can show as blue in colour which means it is damaged by the heat. It would need replacing then along with anything else that may be damaged. -
On the older Passat the ambient air temperature sensor would be mounted behind the front bumper area to measure the air when driving Not sure on later models.....but I would still look for any wiring going to your front bumper area Usually, simply disconnect, remove sensor and reconnect on a new one

Usually with RDS on AM and FM radio stations would tune in automatically as you drove through a local area and the signal was stronger. With DAB radio it is possible to connect to many more stations and geographically it is not an issue. However with DAB you do sometimes need an external aerial to pickup the DAB stations. On a 2020 car I would imagine this should already be built into the car?

Rattling Noise from front passenger side
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Sabrina's topic in Volkswagen Tiguan Club
Hi, It could be wheel bearing, brake pads slightly contacting wear lip or corrosion on brake discs, transmission......in fact quite a few things really. It would be advisable to get this checked by a local garage as a matter of urgency as it may be something safety related or expensive if something lets go Let us know how you get on with it all -
New T Cross Owner - Spacesaver wheel
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to MGK's topic in New Members Welcome Lounge
Hi Mark....welcome to the Club To be fair, £320 is not a bad price for the spare wheel kit I have heard Honda charge at least double that for one for the Jazz -
Would suggest the battery may be flat and need replacing? Test the battery voltage and if below 12 -12.5 volts then replace If the battery is sound then check the key fob locks and unlocks the car then try again as maybe immobiliser wasn't recognising the key

How did you get on with finding the fault with this issue?

Touran 1.9 fly wheel
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Antlyons's topic in New Members Welcome Lounge
A DMF is fine if vehicle is driven correctly but unfortunately, it is not always driven as it should be before you buy a second hand car and then inherit a worn flywheel. Fitting a new DMF is probably just as good as a 4 piece clutch kit with solid flywheel -
The golden rule is 'if in doubt - change the belts' and don't forget the tensioners as well. There is no guarantee that this has occurred so I would err on the side of caution and replace everything in there (including water pump)

New touran owner, so far so good.
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Swandog73's topic in New Members Welcome Lounge
I would start with changing the filter and also an 'Air Con Bomb' which will purify the interior and kill odours -
Should be checked with the ignition on and then slowly move the pedal down and up and the voltage should change Enjoy your holiday Tony 🙂

Try airbag suspension which will raise it to a slightly higher level but also give superb handling on the very poor road surfaces you will encounter. Also gives assistance with supporting the extra loads you will be carrying.
-
Have you checked the camshaft timing as this could be slightly out and causing the sensors to be out of synch and this will throw the fault codes

2021 1.0 Polo heating up very fast
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Daniel's topic in Volkswagen Polo Club
It is quite common with modern engines to get to temperature as soon as possible nowadays as the time it takes to warm up on open-loop on the oxygen sensors is the time it pollutes most -
It would also need the function coding into the CanBus system for it to work even if you do get a replacement switch This should be possible if you take it to a VW specialist garage
-
Have you also checked the engine cambelt timing and condition? Check also the fuel filter has recently been replaced and are you getting fuel to the injector? Ignition system....are you getting a spark?

Replacing infotainment head unit
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Toomanykids's topic in Volkswagen Sharan Club
Hi...welcome to the Club Wow! you've had them all then....Alhambra, Galaxy and Sharan...three of the same vehicle! I would personally go for an aftermarket head unit as have many more functions on them than the factory unit -
New touran owner, so far so good.

Hi....welcome to the Club Glad you are enjoying the Touran so far Feel free to post your old wheels up in the For Sale section of the forums -
I think the boost output is set on these engines, unlike the older generation engines where you could loosen a lockscrew and wind the settings up

Interchangeable manual gearboxes
Volkswagen Owners Club replied to Waqy27's topic in Volkswagen Touran Club
Hi....welcome to the Club Not sure to alignment which would be the biggest issue. If you had yours removed and managed to find one you could compare to then this would more than likely suffice. Good luck with it all and let us know how you get on with it
