  1. Worth looking on this site to see how many others there are out there https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=✓&q=volkswagen+golf&commit=Search
  2. That's good to know and thanks for letting us know the outcome
  3. I suggest a proper check of the electrical system to determine the current draw of various components to then isolate the suspected circuit to see if this resolves the issue
  4. Hi.....welcome to the Forum It sounds very much like you could have a very slight exhaust leak before or around the Cat. This is usually the reason for an O2 sensor to bounce off the limits....get someone to put a rag over the end of the exhaust and hear for any escaping air from the front of the exhaust to see if there are any leaks. Let us know what you find
  5. Hi Ian....welcome to the Forum It could be that a bulb has gone and it is using the next nearest (and most suitable) bulb as a substitute. Got caught out on this with an MG a few years ago and only on close examination I noticed that is was the bulb below (the brake light bulb) that was illuminating as a side light to remain road legal. It cunningly uses the CanBus network to throw a voltage elsewhere so you really need to carefully check and examine each bulb in the event of this occurring. In the case of the indicator though, check that the side repeaters are working okay as they are measured as part of the circuit Let us know how you get on with it
  6. Hi Ian. It seems that something that has been changed has either gone faulty or it is another fault to add to the list. It would be prudent to rescan the vehicle after clearing the fault code memory and also to measure components through a scan tool. e.g. if it has a spark and / or fuel injection is pulsing then it can't be a crank sensor issue. Let us know how its going
  7. Hi ..... welcome to the Forum Let us know when you get your t-roc and how you're getting on with it
  8. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard
  9. Hi Steve Could you not connect a BT transmitter into the auxiliary to connect the phone to the existing unit? Loads on eBay but not sure of quality of them though
  10. I don't think that would be the case, I'm sure they would rather sell you a new car with new technology, much like mobile phones nowadays
  11. I wonder if the aerial amplifier is faulty, worth taking to an audio specialist who may have seen the issue before
  12. Hi.....welcome to the forum The VRS is a fine car and still within the VAG family so thats okay 🙂
  13. I believe it may have a clutch pedal adjustment ratchet mechanism (although not too sure it has it for hydraulic mechanisms) but worth sticking your head under the dash to see what's on the top of the pedal and if it needs manually resetting. If not, then air in the system is the only other thing I can think of
  14. Quaiffe do a great LSD but comes at a price They use Torsional Differentials which tend to be more reliable than a conventional type Diff
  15. Hi....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard
  16. HI Paul....welcome to the Forum I can imagine there is a huge difference between driving the Tiguan and the Disco....worlds apart I imagine? Good to have you onboard
  17. Hi....welcome to the Forum Sorry, don't know anyone I can recommend but have to say I love the retro cloth interior, same as the very early Mk1 Golf
  18. Hi.....welcome to the Forum You can take the car to any garage that offers MOTs as they are all carried out to a government standard so they should all be the same.
  19. I had a Golf with no sunroof and the interior was constantly swamped with water which I believe was coming in through the vents. There are tubes that run down inside the A-Post to the vents and these were blocked. Cleared them out and this mostly eliminated the issue but there was still more coming in from somewhere else in the back of the car....sold it before I had to dig any deeper
  20. I would check the door seals and sunroof if fitted. A Smoke Generator would determine where the water is coming in
  21. Not that I am aware of....if it is just one side then you could probably remove the caliper from the disc and fit another one if it has gone faulty but then you would still have to have it programme into the correct setting
  22. Hi.....welcome to the Forum It could be the cable has seized but more than likely the pads are stuck to the discs which will probably unseize if you drive it for a short distance. If it has an electronic handbrake then that's a different ballgame
  23. Hi Ken....welcome to the Forum Pretty much most park sensors nowadays are all quite standard and work well. Installation is pretty easy so they shouldn't be any problems with installation so I would imagine the brand and installer should be okay with the install. Let us know how you get on with it
  24. Hi....welcome to the Forum Looks a fine machine, very clean! Is that a pub opposite your house?
  25. Hi Mel...welcome to the Forum There are plenty of aftermarket bulbs (such as Philips) which offer a brighter output and are a direct replacement. Additionally, the colour output is usually crisper (superbright or blue light, etc) which enhances night vision. Good to have you onboard
