  1. Hi....welcome to the Club First thoughts are it is not a relay as the wipers actually power through the motor. However, it could be a common earth fault (loose, poor earth connection on the inner wing somewhere under the bonnet or loose battery connection) Check also the distribution box on the battery. Otherwise it may a steering column connection to the switches (lights and wipers)
  2. Thanks for the feedback and glad you have resolved it (for now) but definitely worth keeping an eye on how it is wearing
  3. It may well be the crankshaft position sensor or even the system relay but if there is power to the fuel pump it should prime the fuel injectors. I would be checking the spark output and another thing to check is the cambelt hasn't slipped
  4. Hi....welcome to the Club It looks very much like the pads are pressing against the disc evenly as there is signs of corrosion and no sign of lubricant to ease the movement of the pads across the carrier assembly. It would benefit from the pads being removed, cleaning up all components with emery cloth and refitting with some Copperslip in the correct areas. That should cure it!
  5. Hi.....welcome to the Forum Not sure of the exact location but I suppose you could place it you feel happiest with it 🙂
  6. Hi Andy.....welcome to the Club Good luck with your search, plenty of alloys to choose from out there
  7. Hi....welcome to the Club Will see if we can assist with your fault code enquiry Good to have you onboard!
  8. It can be used in the drivers door lock by locking and unlocking to reset the alarm
  9. R134A but may be replaced with R1234yf (co2) as this is a newer gas and would update the R134A
  10. Hi....welcome to the Club Hopefully you should have the nice weather soon to put the top down Good to have you onboard!
  11. Hi.....welcome to the Club Think you've already noticed the difference between a mk3 Golf and the Passat....progress in action 🙂 Good to have you onboard!
  12. Hi....welcome to the Club I would imagine it would be best to remove the door card and see what is occurring with the linkages and if not then it may well be the door lock actuator assembly at fault
  13. Hi Dune.....welcome to the Forum The Fiesta sounds interesting as we are very keen on road trips and the vehicles that take us on epic journeys. Feel free to post up photos of the Fiesta and would be very interested also to see how the Touran progresses over time
  14. If it is a safety issue like a seatbelt not operating correctly then there would be a safety recall https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall Worth putting your registration in and check the results
  15. All towbars should be approved and suitable for use in the UK for towing. Best to pop into a local towbar fitting centre in your area and get them to fit it as it would need wiring correctly to the vehicle electronics
  16. VCDS is probably the best known and reliable one to use
  17. It sounds like you may not have plugged something back in or even the plugs connected to the wrong sensor? If definitely sounds like it is not it is not reading a vital sensor reading or an actuator is also unplugged
  18. You should be able to get a fitting kit to include the Air Mass Meter if fitted
  19. Should be in the boot area under the carpet https://www.touchuppaintking.co.uk/paint-codes/vw_paint_codes.html#:~:text=VW paint codes - Location&text=The most reliable location is,section of the boot area.
  20. I would be surprised if the injectors were affected by going through a deep puddle. More than likely is that the engine ingested water into the engine via the intake (can be seen by air filter being deformed by water ingestion) and this can lead to hydraulic lock in the cylinders which would result in lower compression on one or more cylinders. I would run a compression test on the engine cylinders to determine if there is any drop in pressure
  21. Not sure if that's an internal or external fault. Maybe worth starting at the fusebox and working your way back to look for corrosion or loose connections
  22. Hi Matt......welcome to the Forums You are obviously a big fan of the Touran then? Good to have you onboard
  23. It sounds like a strut top mount that is failing and is easy enough to replace if you drop the shock absorber/spring down
  24. Have you disturbed any vacuum lines when you serviced the vehicle?
  25. I believe there are specialist audio companies that would install the software but if not then £250 is a bit steep but you would know the install is reliable and up to date
